I know some folks who are already blogging. I would like to think that I could begin a blog, too.
This is uncharted territory for me. But I guess that is where I am in my life right now... on the cusp of something new. Knowing enough to move forward despite the unknown, but also having enough knowledge to understand that the changes ahead will be a challenge.
So, I will begin to blog. Perhaps I will share this blog when I feel I have a handle on this new world.
My wife is pregnant with our second child. She is very early on and I am confident that no one will read this blog until after it has become public knowledge. As a minister, it seems our lives are on display, even if it is in the small segment of society of our local church. Nevertheless, we have decided to wait until the end of the first trimester to announce it...that would be around the end of January beginning of February.
I love my son. He is a great joy to me. To think that our lives will be affected by another little one coming sometime in August is still a surreal thought. It is exciting, but daunting. I have told my wife that what makes this time around scary is not the unknown, but what is known. We know what it will be like to go through the birth process, what it will be like to lose sleep, how hectic it will be to add another person to care for into the house.
But just like this blogging, I will have to jump in and see what happens. So that is how it's going to be.
